Undeniable Beauty....Sridevi

Sridevi was born in 1963 and joined movies at a very early age of four in 1969.She entered bollywood in 1970 with Julie as a child artist. After getting tremendous success in South Indian movies she did Sadma in 1983 with Kamal Hassan. She showed her amazing acting skills as a girl suffering from Amnesia. She got  FilmFare  for Best Actress.

In the same year,she got lot of commercial success in different movies like  Himmatwala, Tohfa ,Justice Chowdhry .She is still  remembered   for her aerobatic moves with Jeetendra.

 Naino mein sapna sapno mein sajne and  Gori tere ang ang mein are still very famous songs. In 1986, one of her biggest hit of that times released Nagina. 

She played a role of a wishful snake. Main tere dushman dusham tu mera was very popular dancing number.In the same year, She did a guest appearance  in  Jaanbaaz although Dimple Kabadia was the main actress but Sridevi was the best part of the film and the song Har Kisis ko nahi milta.....Even now her voluptuous looks in the song can take anyone's breath away.... 












Mr India released in 1987, was a big hit of the year. She showed her perfect comedy timings and looked Sensuous in Kaate nahi katte ye din ye raat....and very funny in Hawa Hawai....

And then in 1989, released Yash chopra's Chandini....It was one of the most popular and successful film of Indian Cinema.....Her Charm, her mesmerising beauty ...her shinning eyes.....made the character of Chandini alive....Songs were very popular...mere hatho mein nao nao... Tere mere hotho pe... How can we forget her rain dance  in Lagi aaj sawan ki fir wo ghadi hai... This role was written for her only. For the best popular film, Chandini won  National Film Award of that year.

She showed different shades of emotions very gracefully. This movie is famous for huge range of  White suits with churidars and chiffon saris. In the same year, she gave another blockbuster film Chalbaaz. She played a double role in the film. Songs like Na jane kahan se aaye hai.... is one of the most comic rain dance number....She was paired with Sunny Deol and Rajni Kant.

In 1991, Yash Chopra released Lamhe. It was on the controversial topic of inter-generation love story. This movie couldn't do good at box-office but now it is counted in classic cinema. Lamhe was one of Sridevi best movie...Super hit Songs like...Morni Bagga ma bole....Kabhi mein Kahu....Ye lamhe ye pal hum...Megha re Megha re... She showed perfect comedy  timings  with Anupam Kher and danced with Wahida Rehman.  


Khuda Gawah released  in 1992 and she was paired against Amitabh Bachchan. We cant forget the very first shot of the film when Sridevi was riding horse. Sridevi was looking fabulous in the song Tu mujhe kabool... In the same year, Heer Ranjha released with Anil Kapoor.

                                
Roop ki Rani Choron ka Raja was released in 1993,  Personally i liked the movie but it couldnt do well in BoxOffice... Her Chinese look was outstanding in the movie. Gumrah and Laadla also got lot of success.She gave an another hit in 1997, Judai. She was again paired with Anil kapoor. In 1996,Sridevi married Boney Kapoor(elder brother of Anil Kapoor)and gave birth to Jhanvi and Khushi.



After Six years of gap,She returned to small screen with Malini Iyer in 2004. Now in 2012, She is back with R.Balki movie English Vinglish. 






I grew up watching her movies and after a long time i am going to watch her on big screen..She is one of the finest actress and in her different movies, she showed her tremendous acting skills....I wish her all the best and hope to see her more in movies...
